Enhance your botanical art skills and portfolio—all while basking in the natural beauty of Longwood’s famous orchid collection and creating an expressive art piece that is unique to you.
In this hands-on botanical art workshop, study the vibrant colors and eye-catching shapes of live orchids up-close to create a detailed piece showcasing the plant’s form and function—all with guidance from artist and instructor Diana Heitzman as she discusses botanical art technique and strategy.
This 4-week course is intended for those with intermediate art experience. Participants are to bring their own tools and art materials in a medium of their choice. We invite you to take what you learn in this class and continue to build your artwork.
