As we celebrate the opening of the new West Conservatory, join designer and artist Daniel Rodriguez and spend an afternoon engaging in urban sketching, or sketching life “on location” rather than from reference material. Though it is frequently associated with architecture or “life on the street” moments, urban sketching is as varied as those who practice it.

During this experience, focus on the incredible architecture of this brand-new horticultural marvel. Along the way, learn top tips for quickly capturing your surroundings in beautiful, accurate sketches that are works of art in and of themselves.
