From yellow to brown leaves and everything in between, to leggy plants, to fungus gnats, and more—the challenges facing houseplants never seem to end.

Don’t worry—you’re not alone! During this class, join Longwood Senior Grower Kassie Williams for a crash course in common houseplant ailments including pests, diseases, watering and light issues, and more. Be sure to bring a photo of your own troubled houseplant—or bring the plant itself!—to gather tips directly from our plant experts on how to rejuvenate it and help it thrive. We’ll also visit Longwood’s greenhouses to get a first-hand look into how our floriculture team handles our plants. You’ll leave with the confidence and knowledge you need to nurse your favorite plants back to perfect health.

Kassie Williams

Longwood Senior Grower Kassie Williams started her horticulture career in 2012 at a greenhouse and orchard nursery. From there, she followed her passion for plants to college, attending Pennsylvania College of Technology and graduating with a degree in Plant Production. Post-graduation, Williams served as Growing Coordinator for North Creek Nurseries, where she dove into biological pest control and pollinator safety. In her current role at Longwood, she is responsible for the production of poinsettias, hydrangeas, and bulb crops for the conservatories.
