Instructor

Tim Jennings, Suzanne Boom, and Chef Will Brown

Tim Jennings is a graduate of Longwood's Professional Horticulture Program and is a specialty grower and one of the curators for Longwood's waterlily displays. Jennings has taught several popular water gardening courses at Longwood and enjoys sharing what he does in a way that is practical and user-friendly for homeowners.

Suzanne Boom is a senior horticulturist maintaining Longwood’s aquatic plant displays in the West Conservatory and Waterlily Court. She is also one of the curators of Longwood’s waterlily collection and the president of the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society. Boom was a home water gardener before she made it her profession working at a retail aquatic plant nursery, where she enjoyed sharing her love for water plants and helped many homeowners build or maintain their backyard pond or water garden.

Chef Will Brown strives to combine classical French and modern techniques as well as incorporating local and seasonal ingredients in his menus. Attention to sustainable seafood and ethical food products are also at his forefront. An avid gardener himself, he loves creating dishes that focus on pure flavors and incorporating fresh herbs and edible flowers whenever possible.
