Central to the mission of the Fellows Program is leadership education. Fellows refine their leadership skills by learning from experts about core content—spanning topics from nonprofit management to strategic planning, master site planning to finance, and more—all tailored to the needs of public garden professionals.
Fellows learn about hot topics in leadership, engage in a department immersion project at Longwood, journey to a partner garden for a two-month externship, and lead an impactful cohort project, all while learning from experts across a range of fields.

No other program caters so closely to the needs of public garden professionals, with the goal of fostering management excellence within the next generation of leaders of public gardens.
